Introduction:

This comprehensive PSSE (Power System Simulator for Engineering) training program is designed to equip engineers and professionals with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge required for advanced power system analysis and simulation. The course begins with foundational concepts in load flow analysis and power system modeling, then progresses into more complex studies using the PSS®E
software. 

Participants will gain hands-on experience in creating and managing power system networks, performing steady-state load flow and fault analysis, and conducting contingency, PV, and QV studies. Special emphasis is placed on dynamic simulations, short circuit studies, and protection coordination, enabling learners to analyze real-world operational scenarios. 

Key highlights of the course include detailed modules on Grid Connection Studies—covering load flow, reactive compensation, short-circuit, voltage/frequency ride-through, and basic harmonic analysis—and the User Defined Model (UDM) Development using Fortran. Participants will learn to develop custom models, create DLL libraries, and automate studies using Python scripting within PSS®E. The course concludes with hands-on projects and case studies to reinforce learning and build confidence in solving practical power system challenges. This training is ideal for engineers involved in power system planning, grid integration, renewable energy projects, and utility operations
